Tournament will be played under a 3-Move
Restriction format, using the Swiss System of pairing/scoring with only a final
re-pair round if necessary. There will be 7 rounds at 2½ hours per
round (1¼ hours)
per game. We will play in the Conference Room 1st floor. We start play each day
at 9:00 am. 4 rounds Friday, 1 round before lunch and break for a 1 hour lunch
at 11:30 until 12:30, Hotel restaurant is open or (various restaurants are
open close by, then 3 rounds afterwards, we start at 9am for our 3 rounds Saturday - 2 rounds
before lunch then break for a 1 hour lunch, and 1 rounds afterwards,
hopefully finished by 6:30 pm. All players are
charged an entry fee of $25. Tournament Referee will prompt slow players to
finish their games on time. If this doesn't work, a designated GM will judge the
game as a W-L-D. Simple decrementing digital time clocks are available. Set each
side to 37 minutes, so when your time runs out the game is over. If you have a
win position but can't finish
it in your remaining clock time then negotiate an agreed draw or get the referee
to award you a draw instead of losing on time. Masters will use the DGT
North American time clock. Please Obey
